Last Minute 4th of July Party Decorations

Tomorrow is the 4th of July, which means that you’re probably hosting or attending a cookout! If you’re a procrastinator like myself, you’re likely in need of some last minute decorating ideas. Luckily, I have a couple of decoration hacks that can be applied to future holidays, too!

These simple decorations can be made with any mugs you have around the house!

One of the easiest ways to give a table of food a very put together look is to make sure that your silverware is in a decorative holder of some kind. Since I don’t just have any Independence Day themed cups or containers just lying around, I used my Pinless Hybrid Strips to make a few! I simply took some mugs from my cupboards, wrapped appropriately sized sections of my strips around them, and added some patterns that I printed on regular printer paper.

This easy decoration took just minutes to make, and they can be used for all kinds of holidays!

Best of all, the dry adhesive on the front of the strips means that I’m able to remove the pattern and replace it for future holidays! If you just want your mugs to return to their usual purpose, there’s still no problem. I peeled the Hybrid Strips off of my brownie mug, and it didn’t peel off any of the design or leave any sticky residue.

You can also use the Hybrid Strips to create a 4th of July themed luminary! I took an old glass jar that I was using for decoration in my room, added a flag using the strips, and threw in some string lights! You could also use smaller jars and add a real candle or a flameless one for a more old school effect.
